Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This policy explains what information puppi3.party collects, why, and what you can do about it. In short: I collect as little as possible, I never sell it, and you can leave anytime.
Who runs this site
puppi3.party is a personal, self-hosted blog run by one person in Ontario, Canada. If you have questions, email [email protected].
What I collect
If you subscribe to the newsletter:
- Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it
- When you signed up and which newsletters you're subscribed to
- Basic email engagement data, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, so I can see what people find useful
You only become a subscriber by entering your email on this site and confirming it through the link I send you. I don't buy lists or add people without their consent.
If you just visit the site:
- Anonymous usage statistics, such as which pages are viewed, the referring site, and general device, browser and country information. These come from Ghost's built-in analytics, which stores aggregated traffic data with Tinybird. I use them only to understand which posts get read.
If you sign in or leave a comment:
- Ghost sets a cookie to keep you signed in. It's needed for member features and isn't used for advertising.
- Anything you post in a comment is public, along with the name you choose.
How I use it
- To send you the newsletter you signed up for
- To manage your subscription and sign-in
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site and emails are used
I don't sell, rent, or trade your information, and I don't use it for advertising.
Services that help run the site
These services process data on my behalf:
- Mailgun delivers newsletter emails.
- Tinybird stores the website analytics data used by Ghost.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site for security and performance, so web traffic passes through it.
These providers may process data outside Canada.
How long I keep it
I keep subscriber information until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Analytics data is kept only in aggregate form.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: every email has an unsubscribe link, and it takes effect immediately.
- Access, correct or delete your data: email [email protected] and I'll take care of it.
- Cookies: you can block cookies in your browser. The only thing that stops working is signing in as a member.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, I'll let subscribers know by email.
